For something a little different from the usual sandwiches or canapés why not consider serving Sushi to your guests. Filled with tuna, mackerel, salmon, or vegetables such as peppers, cucumber or avocado, Sushi offers a high protein low fat alternative that is easy to eat as finger food. It is traditionally served with shaved ginger, wasabi (a hot horseradish) and soy sauce as side accompaniments and can be eaten as finger food or with chopsticks.
Sushi fillings are sometimes wrapped in seaweed sheets which are known as yaki-nori, containing a variety of other vegetables. Sushi rice (sushi-meshi) is also called 'sticky rice' which has a different consistency from the rice we commonly eat in the Western World.
